The New Orleans Marriott is the primary hotel for our wedding weekend.
The majority of wedding events will take place at our venue, Race & Religious, in New Orleans’ Lower Garden District. This neighborhood borders the city’s famed French Quarter, which is where we recommend staying. We have reserved a block of rooms at the New Orleans Marriot in the French Quarter for Friday and Saturday nights. This includes rooms with 1 king and rooms with 2 queens, both for the block pricing ($159 + taxes). The Marriott is a 30 minute walk and 10 minute drive (1.7 miles) from Race & Religious.
Two reasons you should book as soon as you can:
- We only have a limited number of rooms held at this rate. Once those rooms are all taken, the discount will not apply.
- This rate expires November 6, 2015. Guests are not guaranteed the rate after this time.
To take advantage of block pricing please contact Marriott and mention the Sadrai/Young Wedding 11/27 & 11/28 or reference code SYWSYWA. If you plan to stay longer than Friday and Saturday night, the Marriott will honor block pricing anywhere from Wednesday, November 25 until December 1.
On both Friday and Saturday night, after events, a shuttle will take all guests from Race & Religious back to the Marriott. As such, if you select an alternate hotel, and would like to take advantage of the shuttle, we recommend selecting accommodations near the Marriott.
If you decide to rent a car, please note that the Marriott has given us a small discount of $38/night for parking. We do not recommend renting a car as cabs are plentiful near the hotel to get you to the venue, and we have a shuttle taking guests back to the Marriott.
